CPIM Certification

The Rochester chapter is the first ASCM Chapter to offer four different paths for individuals to obtain CPIM certification,

These are:

            Corporate support:

ASCM Rochester will provide either Onsite (for single site training) or virtual (for multiple site or single site that prefer) training sessions for businesses wanting to upgrade their in house resources. These sessions will occur with a preset (but flexible) schedule of sessions with successful certification an expectation for all candidates.  Assigned instructors will also tour the facility prior to the classes, in order to identify internal applications for reference throughout the training.  For this option please contact the Rochester Chapter directly for further information.

Class Duration:     (26) 3 Hour Instructor Led classes held weekly           

Instructor led Session:

The Rochester Chapter will provide a structured approach for certification candidates to reach certification.  This opportunity requires four students or more to register and an assigned instructor will walk the candidates through the ASCM supplied instruction material.  The biggest advantage is that the instructor will bring real world examples to the student body to enhance the information’s value.  From the Rochester Chapters current information this offers the second highest probability of success.

Current Fall Offering starts September 14, 2026 and is slated to be virtual from 5:00-8:00 PM

Self-study with Subject Matter Expert Support:

This is the new option from the Rochester Chapter.  This option assigns a Subject Matter Expert to you for an increased probability of certification success.  This provides the candidate with an upfront schedule for learning the material, but also someone to answer the questions that the candidates have potential questions on, without reviewing what they already know.  Probability of certification is the third highest for candidates seeking CPIM certification.

Self-study program

            The Rochester Chapter is fortunate enough to offer anyone that wants to gain this certification on their own, an opportunity to do so at the chapters currently favorable rate versus ASCM Corporate pricing.  It makes financial sense to take advantage of this situation, but it offers the lowest percentage of successful certification to the candidate.
